From Africa to Bellinge
The couple moved to Bellinge nine years ago. Originally, both come from Jutland – Stefan from Sønderjylland and Gitte from Vestjylland.
“But I was actually raised in Tanzania, where my parents were missionaries, and before we moved to Bellinge, we lived for a few years in Sierra Leone, where we worked on a project for Danida,” says Stefan Jacobsen.
Gitte Vendelbo Jacobsen is a graduate of horticulture, and at the project in Sierra Leone she studied agriculture.
When the couple returned to Denmark, they chose to move to Funen because they expected that the funeral’s delight would suit them well.
– The mentality of Funen challenged us. Here, people are neither too conservative, as in Jutland, nor speak too much, as in Zealand, tells the couple.
